Ms. Forbes has a thriving elder law practice in all aspects of elder law (disability and estate planning, advances directives, guardianships, conservatorships, probate). She is a guardian and conservator of a number of elderly and disabled persons for a variety of individuals and families. She is on the Fiduciary Panel of the Probate Division of the District of Columbia Superior Court. Before elder law, she practiced energy law for a number of years and is the former Director of Federal Commercial and Regulatory Policy for the Edison Electric Institute.
Our clients include couples and individuals seeking estate planning; individuals and families when someone has died; families and individuals who need to be able to manage and make decisions for a disabled relative; individuals and families where a fiduciary is not performing as he or she should; aged and disabled individuals in a variety of capacities (court appointed counsel, conservator, guardian).
Christina C. Forbes is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, the Pratt Institute, and Yale Law School . She has been a distinguished member of the District of Columbia Bar Association since 1989.
